Oh yeah. It's Christmas!

Jingle, jingle little pink tree, if I spend less on you, there’s more for me!
Did I just say THAT?
I miss my kids in their feet Pyjama's.
 Today, Brittany 23, Riley 21, Colt 19
(looks like I've been to the tanning bed, bad girl.)
My sweet little BELLA has a growth at the base of her tail. We will have the biopsy done after Xmas.
Please God, help me with this one.

Did I put this up?

I do have some sparkle in me, I really do.
It's just taking time to figure itself out.

I'd LOVE to be wearing this gown and trimming the tree with pretty pink bows, but not this year.
OMG, unreal right now. Share your secrets if you have any. I'm dying here.

I did receive some very nice cards in the mail...
You brightened my day.
The puppies are happy that this happened today,

This little angel is over the top happy that Santa is coming.
I could stuff a little Tipperella in that wee mouth of hers.
What family hangs garland in their underwear?? Makes for a pretty picture though doesn't it?
HA HA, try riding that SCHWINN in the snow!
(That's what he's really saying you know).
We had to put this sweet little degu to sleep on Wed. She's the last one to go. We're not adopting anymore critters. That's it, no more.
I thought they were twins, but look closer. She's looking in a mirror thinking "what the what?".
I had some of these for my birthday last year. Aren't they pretty? These are NOT edible, unless you want to break your teeth.

Imagine my surprise when the Fed Ex man pulled up and delivered these sweet babies all the way from New York city!! Thank you GracE from "Pink in the City". They LOVE the PINK COTTAGE.

Have you had enough yet? I didn't think so.

I'd most likely be very very happy to be underneath this mistletoe this year.

This is me when Juliet was here last Feb. I want to be HAPPY again, NOW!!!
I want my heart to sing NOW!!!
I want to make these and send them to my girls NOW!!!
I'm on THIS mood swing and I want to get off NOW!!! Although its a pretty one.
I'm definitely going to be making these. My soul needs these.

you ALL a wonderful ChRiStMaS.

I truly mean it, and I hope you know it.
I'm going to scream now.

My dream as a young girl was to have a slip EXACTLY like the one in the advertisement. And I would surely hang the garland while wearing it! And the little drawstring cloth handbags that had little flowers on them. And hats! I so wanted to wear a pillbox hat like Jackie Kennedy. Alas, I was a few years too young and then they went out of style, I guess, because I never got to wear one. Merry Christmas to you and your adorable little doggies.

Oh sweet made me laugh right out loud......what a great post. Hope the mood swings and hot flashes get lost soon. Estrogen maybe? Something from the health food store?

Big 'ol smoochies......

Claudie, I know what yopu are going through and it really sucks. But it WILL get better, both the unhappiness and the hot flashes. I have been through both. Hoping you can have a good Christmas with your kids and hubby. XO, Pinky

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas as well!!! I love the picture of you with your children!! Don't worry about the tanning.. HA!! Didn't have any impact on you at all!! YOU LOOK GORGEOUS!! I think you are one of those lucky few that look even more beautiful with each passing day!!
I will say a little prayer for your sweet Bella!! I know exactly how painful this is... They are like your children! and to see them have to go through anything like this is very hard!! I will pray that all comes out ok with the biopsy!!
My husband would like that Schwinn for Christmas! he collects them...
I always decorate my tree in my underwear!! HAHAHA!! with Christmas music playing and some eggnog!!
I am sorry about little degu!! You know... it is a wonderful thing to adopt and I know it is hard to say goodbye, but remember the wonderful loving home you provided them.. They wouldn't have this if it were not for someone like you who cares!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the reindeer.. can I have them as pets please!! I think my Clyde would love them too!!
OMG! the poodle in the car all the way from NYC... Grace is amazing!! She always finds the perfect gifts, doesn't she!! Just precious!!
Time will heal all the pain you feel inside... You will take as long as you need... It is good to scream out loud how you feel!! Each day is a new day... All you can do is "what you can do" if that makes any sense... So I will also wish for Peace in your heart this Christmas and for the New Year to come... May new and exciting things come your way!!
Merry Christmas my new friend!!
Big Hugs to you!!

What a great post Claudie! Love all these pretty pictures. I know it's so hard for you now. My dear mother in law will be going "home" soon too. I have also been there with the hot flashes. It's awful I know. Your kids are beautiful, and I have to say you get younger looking the older you get. You certainly do Rock the gray!! Try to have a nice Christmas, and I wish you a Happy New Year, with good heatlh, and happiness.

Oh Claudie!! I'm so sorry you're the victim of those nasty mood swings. Me too and I can't blame menopause. I went through it five years ago. Are you taking hormones yet? I took them for a few months and they helped me get through the hot flashes. There's a pillow called a Chillo (really) that is very nice too.
I hope you're back to yourself soon. We don't have your beautiful snow out here in my part of California but we do have frost. Not nearly as pretty but it's cold right now. So I could recommend a trip to see me.
Merry Christmas sweet friend!

Bonjour ma belle,

OH CLAUDIE!!! What can I say, you have been generous in showing us all the beautiful things that are SO YOU, even in the midst of those mood swings. I have been going through menopause as well, with SLIGHT mood swings being the only symptom so far and with a PIMPLE. JUST ONE PIMPLE will come out every month....HEY! I once read that BROCCOLI is a fantastic to ward off many of the symptoms! I have been eating TONS of broccoli for MANY MANY YEARS and i swear by it! LOAD UP DEAREST!

Did you get my card and little box? Oh please, I hope you did.

I want to thank you again for all the LOVE that you send my way all the time Claudie. JOY IS YOURS...those hormones rob us of the moment.....Ruben knows well when to STAY AWAY and so do my students!!!! But remember that WE LOVE YOU SO and keep on making the world around you pink with beauty. Oh, I am so sorry to see your little critter had to be put down.....he/she looks like the bunny I saw in my garden yesterday. WE HAVE NO SNOW so the animals have more to eat....they are SO, SO.....ROUND!!!!

Wow, it is 2;41 and I am just now checking my computer. With everything done we went to town to deliver some of those hundreds of cookies to a few friends. The first two places no one was home. finally, I gave lots to my neighbor just below to the right of our home. I don't want to eat them. HA! I dreamed I was the size of a barrel. Yikes!!!

I am loving this music. Good job.

I am crazy about your fun post. You have a fun sense of humor and your post just made me laugh and cry. Yep, I said cry. I hate your sadness and pain of loss. I hope and pray Bella will be alright. Babette had several cysts that were benign. Then I laughed at the great pics you shared. The mistletoe pic is priceless. Love the underwear pic with the garland. could go on and on.

The photo I love most of all is you with your children. A beautiful mom with beautiful children.

Don't "sweat" Claudie. Talk to your Dr. and get some meds to help you. Mood swings, oh yeah. Try some natural remedies first.

Time for my beauty nap. I need it after cleaning up my kitchen late last night.

Keep the 'happy' going and blessings to you all this Christmas and always.

I love you to pieces,
Jeanne xoxoxo

Dear Claudie ~ makes me sad to know that you, of all people, are sad. Yes, I know we all get sad, but YOU are the one who shines and bubbles over with smiles and laughter! You are the one who encourages others to laugh. Do all your girls need to come back up there for a visit? I never suffered much with menopause...did have just a couple hot flashes and I got hot at night until I started sleeping with an ice pack...and I don't mean Larry! Sorry about that little one. I don't know why I didn't see the degu's when I was there. I wish you well, I wish you happiness, I wish you a cool breeze to ease your symptoms...I wish you love...

Much love to you and Randy,
I love you!

This is the most entertaining post that you've created. You crack me up, and I can relate to so many things that you say on here. I LOVE all the old vintage pictures. The picture of you and your kids is adorable. You are gorgeous, my dear. Can you believe that Schwinn bicycle - remember those? It is Christmas Eve, but I wanted to make sure I came over and wished my sweet girl a very Merry Christmas. You have so much light and love that surrounds you, and you are one of my Christmas presents this year. Love you, Love you,

I just love this post Claudie!
You are so real and honest and sweet and fun all wrapped into one!
If you can still jump like that then you're in pretty darn good shape my dear, hot flash or not!
You find the best images to share too, they brighten my day.
And your kiddies were so adorable and you too (still are)
I know missing your Mom is probably the big cloud hanging over your head. there is nothing in this world that will replace our Mom's, even our own children because we have to give to them and not expect it back.
Big Hugs and love sent your way,

Claudie, I´m too late to wish a merry Christmas so I hope you have had!
So sorry to read that the other Degu is gone too.
One of our Degus was helped over the bridge on 20 th December too. I brought the last grieving little Degu to my friends Degugroup. Hope they will become friends next time.
I also never want to have little critters too though I enjoyed the time with the little ones.
Thanks for sharing all your thoughts in this post.

Ma chère Claudie,

Oh dearest, YOU STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR BOX??? What? When you ordered from me and I sent your purchase, it seemed to get to you in no time! OHHHHH! I so hope you get it soon!!!

AND!!!!!! RUBEN BOUGHT ME MIDNIGHT IN PARIS AND I JUST LOVED IT! In fact, I want to see it again TONIGHT! I so loved how subtle the journey into THE OTHER CHARACTER'S NOSTALGIA took me away!!! What a great lesson in life to cherish the NOW for that is really all we have left. The past is gone and is only reserved in memory. The future is not yet to be, but we are to prepare for it. The NOW is here, in our hands, under our feet....what are we to do? LIVE IT ! LOVE IT! And dearest, from what I can see, you do that well.

It has been a lovely year, and to think that I WAS A PART OF YOUR PLANS for the summer breeze...well, we have another year to hope....

Hi Claudie! Come visit me! You are sad and yet you can make me smile! :) I love the mistletoe in the back pocket! I know it is not nice but boy that would be great where i work! With mean people! They are so rotten I can not even call them mean girls anymore!
I will pray for Bella. It is always scary but don't be fearful. See what happens. It could be something simple.
Your photos are just sweet!
I wish you love this New Year 2012. I wish you happiness and many happy memories filling your days. I wish you peace and joy and know that you are loved all around.
You are an incredible lady. Take each day and do what you need to do!
Life is so crummy somedays! But always remember you are soooo loved!
I miss my folks so much during the holidays! But we always had such great fun and I try so hard to recreate it with my own phamily!
If my mother were here she would tell you, life is hard, pray harder! It is what works! Phamily, good friends and prayer! It is an unbeatable combination!
God Bless You!

Love that photo of you under the Tiffany sign!!!

Oh my, I don't want to put Christmas away because it always makes me feel so empty when all the sparkle of decor and lights is gone... but I suppose I have to, after I get a bit more over this cold I've caught.

I think what I need tonight is to watch one of my AUDREY movies.... shall I pick Roman Holiday or Charade? Cary Grant or Gregory Peck? Hard to choose!!!

So, you enjoyed the poodle skirt on that doll?!? I don't even want to know what her hair looks like by now, and those shoes are probably lost in the toy pile, but she started out pretty : )

Happy New Year to you my dear,

~ Violet

Hey Precious... It's New Year's Day and I'm in my office with my Mom ~ She's taking a nap and I'm visiting YOU! ;) One of the things I love MOST about you is that you say what you mean and mean what you say~ The menopause pics and quips and quotes are so funny, and SO true! I've had a few "a'ha" moments myself this holiday...and have learned more than EVER why my blogging friends mean so much to me. You mean so much to me because you accept me JUST the way I am...and you VALUE me. My adult children seem to have their own lives right now and when I'm with them, it seems that they think some of the things I say are dumb...or are dumber than dumb. lol But, you my dear make me feel smart~and I love you for that! I think that's what you need right now too ~ someone to laugh at your jokes, and to cry with you till you can't cry anymore when you need a hug. I need that too! Christmas has a way of bringing out all our emotions, regardless of Menopause. I'm sorry to hear about Bella's growth, and the recent loss of your other little critter. :*( Abbie has another small tumor growing on her other paw now...she'll have to have that removed this week too. :( This time I'm going to ask them to shave it off since it's still so small...and not have her put under. I hope they'll do it that way.

Praying you are having a PINK & Cheery New Year's Day honee...I love you to the MOON & BACK! Your GA Peach!
