Summer Breeze reprise-part one/take one

They have all left me...
Have left their footprints on my ♡.
Where do I begin, but at the beginning.
Turn your speakers on, cuz this is OUR SONG.
Julie and I worked hard to get everything ready for their arrival. I couldn't have done it without her. Julie is very detailed and LOVES special touches.
That's what I ADORE ABOUT HER.
CC and Julie stayed in the guest cottage.
Perfect for the girls.

Aren't those little crowns above their pillow so sweet?
Found this game and had to buy it.
French Limonade and Pink Rosé along with other yummy flavours.
Pretty gifts of course.
CC's blog is Catherine de thé cups, so I had to have a pretty tea set for her.
The light was on, waiting.
It's been 8 months of planning.
Made this tree cup holder 20 years ago with Julie.
Julie lives in VANCOUVER.

On our way to decorate Jeanne, Wendy, and Miss Bee's rooms at the little motel down the street since our little PINK cottage doesn't have that much room.
I took off the bed spreads, cuz they're always yucky, and put my favourite spreads on each of their beds, with little surprises everywhere.

Had to have French Brie and Emergency Chocolate.
Jeanne ate hers the first night...
I wonder what the EMERGENCY was?
Found this little framed blondie which reminded me of Wendy.
She probably looked like this when she was little. She also LOVES lady bugs.
This is Jeanne's room. I altered the bottle. It reminds me of Jeannie in a bottle.
Of course they all had PINK toilet paper.
Every room had beautiful peignoirs for our special day.
Little love notes hung on their doors and lights.
In Feb. Julie and I made these banners for all of them.
Made with LOVE for each summer breeze girl.
This was the gathering room. It was Jeanne's room. She's the early bird.
I had a toaster, a coffee maker, and the fixings for a little breaky to get them going.
 Miss Bee's room, a.k.a. Deborah
Her peignoirs.
Just waiting...
French Rose savon for the bath.
My favourite CHENILLE bedspread.
Miss Bee said she was "wrapped in my love" every night of her 7 nights, awwww.
Rented a VAN for my girls.
This was the "dude" that had it ready for us.
Check out the hair.
Their flights were late, so we waited...
Are they here yet Sir Wilfred?

ANTICIPATION
They met in the Toronto airport before boarding for Ottawa.
Aren't they BEAUTIFUL?
Jeanne wore a PINK french poodle shirt just for moi.
CC had never met Jeanne or Miss Bee.
There they are. CC, Jeanne and Miss Bee.
I've met Jeanne and CC before, but not Miss Bee.
OMG.
CC is a GA. peach.
Jeanne and Miss Bee are from N.C.
CC had VINTAGE HATS for all of us.
Everyone was wondering what was going on.
The airport will never be the same.
BIG HUGS from Miss Bee. I was shaking and crying, I was a wreck.
Hugs from Jeanne with CC looking on and Miss Bee just can't believe it's me I think.
See my cute little mouth? NOT!
I mean my cute little vintage blue hat?
Now we are waiting for Wendy. She's from a little town in Alberta, Canada.
I've never met her either, and she has never met ANY of us.
Look out girl.
Miss Bee brought us each a toe ring...
and vôila, there she was.
How cute is she? The one with the green shirt, not the other ladies, lol.
We are complete.
All my girls are here at last.
Let the party begin.
Welcome to the
PINK COTTAGE.
FRENCH, PINK, POODLES and PEARLS.

Hi Claudie Sweetie...
Oh my gosh, I was just as excited as you seeing that escalator and the girls coming down it just waving. What a beautiful capture. I could hear all the screaming and chatter clear out here in Phoenix. Oh what fun. Love those hats, and the toe rings? LOVE it. Perfect for the occasion. What a fun time.

Love the way you decorated the hotel rooms. How pretty and fun they looked. I just know the girls loved their special touches. You did not miss a beat. I can't wait to see everyone all dressed up in the peignoirs. I loved that picture most of all last year. Can't wait to see this one.

What a wonderful time sweetie. A wonderful time. Thank you for letting me come along this evening. You have made my heart "Happy".

Many hugs sweetie and SO much love, Sherry

And the whole adventure was about to crack wide open. It was a wonderful time of friendship, laughter, and loads of love. What a special group of women/girls. We all got along famously and will long remember every moment

To all the other girls who think - "I would love to do something like that"... just go right ahead. It will change you in only the best way possible. Husbands will miss you - but only temporarily and for those of us who are on our own? What better than a little escape to another place to refresh and renew your spirit.

Claudie did a really bang up job of organizing the whole thing. Her great support system in her family who cooked and cleaned and built and gardened and drove and wired and everything else that went on behind the scenes was so appreciated.

It's all still on my mind....
Tell the story Claudie.

Love J.

Finally,I'm able to comment on your great post. Bill's sister and her hubs are high maintenance. Love them dearly but I am glad they went home early tonight. Well 10:13 IS early for us. I ran to my computer so I could comment at last.

Your post is darling Claudie and tells the story perfectly. Your welcome was the best it could possibly be and I know you worked so hard to make us welcome to our wonderful rooms. I 'never' expected this but all I can do is smile happily as I look at all the photos that make it real and not a dream.

Claudie, I am falling asleep. How did you ever have the energy to entertain all of us for a whole week. You are a wonder. I do love this post.
I love you to pieces,
Jeanne xoxoxo

Claudie, I am so sorry to have missed this, but I'm glad you all had such a good time. Oh, how I would have loved to meet the ones I haven't met and see again those I adore. Alas... it was not meant to be.

Tired and heading off to bed, but I wanted to drop by and say that I love you.

XO,

Sheila

Oh chère Claudie,

The other day when you all called, I am not even sure who I was talking to, I was so excited. I believe I was talking to CC at that end, and I know I was talking to Julie, but WHEN DID YOU COME INTO THE CONVERSATION??????? I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO TALK TO YOU MORE AS WELL! Mais OUI ma belle, the connections we make are so vital to our existence and meaning and to have seen these beautiful women in the eyes and laughed and cried must have been an event to never forget. To have been included in this makes me overwhelmingly grateful for the love you have and share. Thank you for visiting me and I cannot wait to see PARTIE DEUX!!!!

GROSSES BISES, Anita

Hey Queen of Tours - As I scrolled and read this post I thought of ALL THE $$$ you could make by hosting these types of gatherings to people all over the country in BLOGWORLD. lol Seriously, I'm not sure though if there is enough MONEY to pay you for what all you, Ran, and Colt are worth.

The experience you created for us 5 gals was a LIFETIME experience and it was just THE BEST!

From each little touch on the bed, walls, in the frig...down to the Audrey Hepburn movie under the infamous tree in your yard by the river was "there's not a word for it". I'll make one up - It was "uno-extra-spec-famous". Really? You love us THIS MUCH? :) Yes you do; and we LOVE YOU BACK for each ounce (10,000 million) of sweat you all put into making this trip happen.

I love you Claudie Frid! xoxoxo
