I don't usually post my gifts in case I miss someone or hurt someone's feelings,
but I had to share this with you.
Some of you know
from
Sherry always has the SWEETEST and most gracious things to say when she comes by and comments.
Not just to me, but to ALL her friends. It's never one word, or one line with our Sherry.
Ever since my MOM died, she's been making something special for me.
She creates from her HEART, no doubt about that.
Let me show you shall I?
It's a treasure box. Sherry made this incredible box embellished with my MOM in mind.
This is the side. the other side has pretty ribbon to tie the box.
This is the back of the box.
Even little French poodles in the corners.
She even has ceramic wings from Phoenix for me.
These are very thick stock cards with pictures
that speak to my HEART. She took them from my blog, with permission of course.
This one you might remember.
The stairway to heaven I envisioned my mom taking when she left us.
Look how happy MOM was here.
Sherry put sweet little wings on her for a speedy journey.
It looks like a small box, but it's not. It's the size of a book!
You'll remember this one too.
Her sister Jeannine's 90th Birthday Party.

Sherry glittered every single piece. Sweet little butterflies are everywhere.

Oh Claudie, that book is the most precious thing anyone could have done for you. What a treasure!!!! I remember when my Mom died I was POSSESSED with pictures, had them all over the rec room floor. Goodness, see this is why blog friends are so special. People in our real world just don't get it! We would all do anything for each other and that includes a wide spread prayer chain, I will say a prayer tonight as I lay my head on the pillow for your BFF Sister Lolette. I was taught by nuns for 8 years and put them on a pedestal!

O.K. I'm not sure which side is my favorite. I love them all! She is certainly talented, isn't she? This box is wonderful. I just love the picture of you and your mom. I think my favorite picture was the long walkway with the flowers. It's beautiful. Such a special friend you have, Claudie. I know you will treasure the box forever.

What a beautiful post dear one. If I could have given you the moon, you know I would do so. You are such a beautiful gift from God to me, and I cherish each and every letter we share. One day we will meet.
I know as I worked on each piece of this gift of love, that your sweet Momma was smiling away. I am so happy that you loved those little wings, when I saw them I knew they were meant to be, the completing piece of the box.
The cards were of course for your heart to view when you needed them. Something to hold. May you smile and feel my arms around you each and every time that you pick up your box of love.

Oh my Claudie, this post made me cry. What a GIFT from your friend Sherry. She is a talented lady...and knew exactly what you needed. She's got to be one of the angels that God has sent you to touch your heart with her visits to you. I think He does that for us, ya know. I once heard that since God can't physically hug us here on earth, He sends friends to us to hug us for Him. I think when He sent Sherry your way, He knew you'd need her talents... It's in the loss of the people we love the most that we dig deeper to understand what a tremendous blessing they were...and still ARE to our lives.
I think this will be a TREASURE that you hold close to your heart forever! You could use it to write Love Letters To Mom in Heaven when you're really missing her...after writing them, just tuck them into your box. Years down the road you'll pull a Love Letter from the box that you wrote for her and it will feel like a visit with her.
