I never did finish...

Thought I would make you smile again on my blog.
My SUMMER BREEZE part "I'm not sure"
After Jeanne, Miss Bee and Wendy left,
CC and Juliet stayed an extra 3 days.
Juliet REALLY REALLY wanted to go back to Montréal and see the
JEAN PAUL GAULTIER haute couture exhibit.
So of course I granted her wish.
CC and me going UP...
Juliet going up.
The exhibit was all about Jean Paul and his creative side of fashion.
 He was "different" alright.
These mannequins were as real as life.
You see, they projected real people's faces and voices onto the mannequin's heads.
This one spoke in FRENCH and ENGLISH.
This is TOOTOO, his bear.
Look what he did to that little bear way back when.
Yes, he created this one for MADONNA
HIGH FASHION, Jean Paul was very controversial
This was the FABULOUS runway show with all his top fashion statements.

It's called ART in the hallway.
Don't ask me!

Juliet was a VERY HAPPY CAMPER.
We then went to see my sweet FRENCH gf Manon. She's part owner of a Bistro in the best part of Montréal.
L'Aromate is the name, delicious is their game.
I've known her for over 22 yrs.
It was her Anniversary, and she hadn't bought anything for her prince charming so...
Juliet decided that WE were going to make her some pretty crafty little love notes to hide around the house. When he finds them, she would have to honour them... hmm.
They were pretty steamy, if you know what I mean.
One for every day of the week.

Can you tell Manon was a "little thrilled"?
I can't imagine Paul's face : )
Juliet is always FULL of surprises.
I LOVE that about her.

All done, with a few drinks and food in between of course.
YUM YUM YUM

Manon liked my dress so much I left it for her.
She wore it to Bermuda.
This dress has travelled. Kind of like the traveling pants of the sisterhood.
It was BETSY JOHNSON'S birthday that day.
Special deals for special ladies.
She ROCKS.
Look at me on that PINK couch. I have Cruela Deville's coat on. I wanted the couch more than the coat.
I wanted the coat, don't get me wrong, but thought it was a little too flashy & pricy.
Oh! I should have bought it.
Betsy would approve. Randy... not so much.
Yes, she bought this little peignoir ensemble.
Guessing by the size of the PINK bags, I'd have to say Juliet won.
Juliet has her new Betsey shoes on... CUTE .

Walking in the streets of Montréal. CC in tow.
I HAD to find CC some sweet Macarons.
Found them at a lovely little sweets shoppe on a corner. It was 11:00 PM by then and still open.
"A box for my friend from GA. s'il vous plait".
This was TO DIE FOR
It was a CHOCOLATE "bar".
We had CHOCOLATE SHOTS. OMG.

And so our adventure is coming to an end.
A week of memories dear to my
A week I will NEVER forget, EVER.
Bella in CC's suitcase. She had to be coaxed out.
My friends have such pretty luggage don't they?

MY SISTAS FOREVER

I would like to thank you all for your heartfelt comments for my mom and my family.
Tonight I was outside when the sun was setting. I stood there in awe of the colours and the beauty that surrounded me.
The Canadian Geese are landing on our river waiting to also depart.
The sound was amazing, yet peaceful.
I know she's out there tonight and saying
"IT'S OK, I'M OK".

Remember months ago when I told you I was going to Asheville, N.C. to Jenn's
 with my girls?
Well, I had cancelled it all when mom got sick.
I couldn't think of it anymore.
Low and behold, Randy booked me a flight leaving this Wednesday. He said I needed "gf time".
 I'll be joining my girls
JEANNE
MISS BEE
CC will come and visit and...
I'm meeting new ones
Claudia
Grace
and 50 other ladies,
for 6 days of fun and work shoppettes.

It was our THANKSGIVING weekend here in Canada.  Pepper is having fun with the leaves.
It was different this year : (

I'll see you when I get back. I'll have so much to share with all of you.
I'm so thankful.
Thank you Randy, again and again.

Such amazing fashion and imagination! You have such good friends and so much fun. Love the dog and his joy in the leaves and the little pooch on the suitcase. My little dog did that to me once as I was leaving, so cute and sad. I just know your mom is filled with joy and so must you be. :D

I wonder how much sleep she will get in that.(Pierre) Smile!!! Jean Paul does design out of the box and I loved all of it. Montreal is an exciting place to be. I wish I could have met Manon. Your friendships are all special Claudie. That is what is so special about you. You have a way of making each of your multitude of friends feel special. I love that about you.

I'm so glad you are able to do this, and bless Randy for his loving gesture for you, Claudie. I hope you all have a wonderful time. Please give everyone my love and hug that sweet Grace for me. She's someone I have always wanted to meet in person. And be sure and give the other sweeties a hug for me, too.

I will be winging my way to visit Fred's mom (in her eighties) that same week. We have to see about some things with her house and just generally check on her. It worked out because Mr. Magpie has business in a nearby state.

Love and hugs to you...

XO,

Sheila

OK..first off, I am laughing hysterically at a sentence in Julies comment.
she said "take another one of those group shits...." (she meant shots, typo) but I sure got a good laugh.

Wow, obvsiously I had to leave 3 days too early cause it looks like you guys had a great time.
That fashion show is right up Julies alley...weird stuff, but creative. Do "real" people actually wear any of that stuff??
I liked the eiffel tower on the stockings.

Next, a visit/lunch with Manon. She surely is a pretty lady eh. You said you gave her your dress...WHAT DID YOU WEAR HOME?? (tee, hee)
I could see Julie ordered her Sangria, you..white wine..CC, hmm, perrier perhaps?

then Macaroons!!! missed out on those. The chocolate shot bar...you probably would have had a hard time getting me out of there.

yes you did look great on the pink couch on your shopping trip. I liked Jeanne's comment about Julies pengnoir.(sp)

I love the sunsets on your river. Such a peaceful time. You need to send me some photos of the fall leaves around there. I bet they are beautiful.

I like that photo of us girls walking down that path..makes me smile. HOWEVER, when I look at ME...I want to break out in the song "I like Big Butts and I can not lie" (that was a good shit..I MEAN SHOT, ha ha ha)

I am so glad you are still going on your trip to NC. You will have a fabulous time. I sooo wish I could be with you all. The gals will be good therapy for you right now. Randy is a good dude.

(guess this got a little long) anyway, Enjoy your magical week coming up. You are the Queen of making friends and you add a "spark" of fun and magic everywhere you go.
I love ya.

Hey Baby PINK Doll of a friend! When you post about our time together, I always CRY...ALWAYS. As I listened to the music and scrolled and continued to read...I then seen the pic of us all together holding hands....and I lost it. I still remember standing there as if it was yesterday. :( Oh Claudie, will we ever be at your place again like this...just us Sista's? I pray so...it was a trip of a lifetime...just because we were ALL together...it was PERFECT! Each and every second... Didn't we laugh our heads off? We did...and we fell more in FRIENDSHIP/SISTA love than ever before; all of us. It must've been that hats I brought us! LOL I can't WAIT to see you on Sunday to give you a big SISTA bear hug...and I'm not letting go till I have to drive home Monday evening. LYTTM&B friend.....FOREVER! xoxo ~CC

Gee I don't know whether to laugh or cry! I see that pic of you and your Mom and picture the sound of the geese and I feel so sad for you. Then I read Julies comment and I think she meant group shot instead of group shit! I'm laughing and crying at the same time!!(she always knows how to lighten the mood!!) I'm so glad you are going away. Your mind will be so thankful for the rest from all you have been through. I went back to work right after I lost my Mom and I swear it kept my sanity. I had a six hour break everyday where I didn't have time to think about anything but work. Then as soon as I got in my car I cried the whole way home! Being with your girlfriends will be just what you need and the timing couldn't have been better. Randy is one smart man. Your pictures are beautiful! Have a wonderful time and I look forward to seeing what you make. I'm sure it will be all pink and girly! Have fun and keep your chin up ; ) XOXO

Claudie, I have been taking a break from blogging, then my computer got a nasty virus and it was down for almost 2 weeks before I could get it fixed, and somewhere along the way I lost the bookmark to your blog so I had to search and search for you. Much to my dismay, I get here and read the sad, sad news about your mom. I am soooo deeply sorry. :(

Do hope your North Carolina trip puts a smile on your pretty face.
