Focus, Focus, Focus

I was asked to be a guest blogger on this incredible blog. I'm honoured really.
It's a collaborative blog.
First time for everything I say.

These woman are excellent photographers, and some very professional ones too. They are wives, moms, teachers and decorators.
So WHY ME? That's what I asked. WHY ME?
They wanted a little diversity.
Diversity, I said?
You got it.
Most of you know  I LOVE PINK, so you'll see a lot of it here.
I also ADORE a little BLUE.
MOOD SWING, GET IT?
I LOVE being silly with my GIRLFRIENDS.
And of course LOVE all my fur babies.
Sweet SASHA (rescue). She's diabetic and struggling right now.

I drink one of these EVERY morning. My only addiction.

Here's Toby. The one that barks at everything that moves.
He's good with all the PINK.
I'm SPOILED with my addiction (Okay, THAT'S TWO)  to AUDREY and TIFFANY.
 More fur cuteness.
 Mama Cat (rescue)
 Fat Cat (rescue)

 WHAT? Married 24 years?
RANDY

Another LOVE of mine is our PINK COTTAGE on the RIVER.
I live in a very small town in the country. One hour to Ottawa, and only
1 1/2 hrs. to Montréal. I have the best of both worlds with MONTRÉAL being my favourite.
Our BREATHTAKING sunsets are magical.
   I'm proud to be CANADIAN.
The RED and WHITE comes through in our backyard. Can you tell?
I used an awful lot of paint out there.
 I told you I LOVED TIFFANY'S, right?
Blog land has opened up a WHOLE NEW WORLD for me.
Here are my SISTA'S in MONTRÉAL.  They flew in from all over the U.S. and Canada.

I LOVE you all.

Let's move on shall we? So much to show you.
We have a sweet little guest cottage that boasts an outdoor shower. The stripes on the right.
THIS IS THE WINTER SCENE.
We also have a pool back there.
Care to stay a while?

Back in Montréal with my girls in the fountain.

Aw, the cobble stone streets, the French flair, the art, the food.

There are over 5000 Tim Hortons in Canada alone.

BONAPARTE INN. What a lovely stay.
Thank God they didn't catch us doing this!!

Let's go back to the cottage shall we?
The "View" from the GUEST cottage.
Yes our GUESTS just lounge around in their peignoirs.

 TOLD YOU IT WAS BREATHTAKING.

I CALL THIS ONE "MY PEARL TREE".
See, all our guests hang around in their P.J.'s. Anyone who knows me knows
I LOVE MY P.J.'s.
Brunch inside the cottage with my SUMMER BREEZE girls.
Randy made us eggs benedict.
It's empty now... waiting.
I live VERY close to the QUÉBEC border. No customs. Just hop on a ferry and spend 7 splendid minutes crossing the river. In the winter we cross the ICE BRIDGE, which means you literally drive across the river with your vehicle. Don't hold your breath or gasp, it's true.
BONJOUR LES FILLES.

  COLT 19
 Riley 21
And Brittany 23
I'm originally from Cornwall, about an hour away from here in Ontario,
but as you can see, I don't really like it there.
This was taken before boarding the 1000 Island Ferry to Boldt's Castle.
Needless to say THE FOOD WAS AWFUL.
Boldt's Castle on the American side.
It's a real true LOVE story. You might want to GOOGLE it.
One thing we do ENJOY is POUTINE.
French fries with squeaky cheese curds on top then smothered in a rich brown gravy.
OH MON DIEU!!!
This entourage greets me every time I come home.
Since Lucky and Sasha were adopted 2 yrs. ago, I never did get to see them as babies.
So I think this is what they must have looked like when they were puppies.
LUCKY ON THE LEFT, SASHA ON THE RIGHT. They will be 13 yrs. old this month.
LOVE.

Sasha on the left, Lucky on the right.

My BFF is a 91 yr. old Catholic nun. She's my cousin.
I love her to tears. We laugh, we cry. but when we laugh, we laugh hard.
We, or should I say I, play dress-up,

I let her wear my Tiffany sunglasses,
 Pretend she's a Xmas tree,
sweeten her up for Easter,
and take her on many adventures.
I dine with them all the time, and they accept me for who I am.
They are Sisters of Charity.
Sister Lolotte (her nick name) has been a nun for over 70 years.
Bless her sweet heart, like my friends in the South would say.

I'm a GREAT AUNTY for the first time too.
AUBREE MARIE SMITH
I have one EXTRA sweet sister.
And did I mention an AMAZING HUSBAND?
Yes I did.

So THAT is a little insight to Claudie's world. Most of you know me,
but for the sweet ladies who don't from
I hope you enjoyed your visit to my little piece of the world.
Now go and visit these extraordinary ladies that make the
world a brighter place, you won't regret it.

Geez! I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my face! Okay, so part of that is allergies, but mostly it's the photos that bring back those precious memories of last summer. How I would love to be sitting back in your baby doll cottage waiting for Randy and Colt to serve up the most delicious Eggs Benny and Mimosas.

I remember every day, but the pictures just bring those memories back to life.

I love you - truly, I do.
BTW...it's 3:30 and I still have my jammies on!

My love to the family and hugs and smooches to you.
...to the moon and beyond!

Claudie, I live in Georgia and we are far along in our spring growing season. My daffodils bloomed in January! I now have buds on my hydrangeas and buds on the daylillies. It's been a beautiful spring! That Clematis I think blooms earlier than some.

I'm going to run right to a thrift store and see if I can find a negligee!

Whoa, Sweetpea!!

I feel as if I've been on a wonderful, beautiful, aweet sisterly pink cushy fun roller-coaster ride, with lovely friends and good times galore.

I just strolled through for a few minutes before bed---we had a REALLY active day, a lot of it out in the chilly wind, so that when we got home and got warm and had our supper, we just sorta let down.

Then THIS marvel---woke ME right the heck up, I can tell you.

You DO beat all.

Oh Claudie, when you do a post is is always magnificent. I adore the first baby on a cake photo. Soooo cute. I got so emotional when you shared our wonderful week in Canada. It brought back the most wonderful memories.
I am thinking of sister Lolotte and praying she is feeling better. She is such a dear person.

Your surroundings on the river is like living a dream. You live over the top, you love over the top and having you for my darling friend/2nd mom is over the top. Thank you Claudie for being my loving, thoughtful and decidedly beautiful French Canadian friend.

Did I tell you how much I love your post today?

I LOVE YOUR POST. Big smile here.

Sending BIG hugs your way tonight and always,

Well..I am catching my breath here. I love that you mention how proud you are to be Canadian! I feel the same way about the United States. My sister in law is from Canada. Our second home is only 8 miles from the Canadian border.
What an interesting post..and the thing is..it made me feel like I know you! It always amazes me that I can feel that way so quickly as a blogger. You mentioned that as well..and you are right!
You have a beautiful family. I had to smile though, as your children are the ages of my Grands.
So..that means you are my daughters age!
:)
I love that!

Hi Claudie, I love your new word. HA!
I am going to be featured on Pink Saturday because tomorrow is our 49th anniversary. It will be all about our life in progression of years. I am featuring my wedding dress. It is simple and pink. It was short because that was the fashion of the times. Very sixties.I am busy sending Beverly some photos of my dress right now.

I have not had time to write much this week. Lots going on.

Love you bunches,
Jeanne xoxoxo
