I know it's all about Jesus being resurrected and all,
but for me it was always about the new dress,
the new shoes, and the CHOCOLATE.
This is our little Chippy. He's had lot's of chocolate.
I was always wiggling in church waiting for that long sermon to be over.
We would then all meet at my Grandmother Charlebois's house for a big feast.
The French was flying, the arms were flapping, and the food... oh, the food.
Nothing like French cuisine on Easter Sunday.
(Couldn't find a family picture, so you get stuffed bunnies for now).
And fat cat and Bella.
THIS IS A "HE", LOOK AT HIS WHISKERS!
I saw this after I put the earrings on... poor bunny.
But I still couldn't wait to get home and devour my chocolate bunny.
I never knew if it would hurt him when I bit his ears off, or his leg. Yes to me it was always a HE. I guess it didn't matter once he was gone. I would always ask my sister if she REALLY wanted hers, and of course she did.
My dad would ALWAYS sneak me some of my mom's Laura Secord chocolates,
(it's a Canadian thing). I'm sure she counted them, but let it go just this once.
I've always made Easter special in our home. The bunny would even leave a little poopy trail at times, but most times we had real bunnies and lot's of them, so no raisins necessary, lol.
Now if I could only learn to make a cake like this one from
"THE PARTY WAGON" I'd be a happy bunny.
But for now I'll stick to things I know.
IN THE PINK COTTAGE
THE END.
So as I, the PINK one, and Randy, the blue one
sit here (it's actually sunny)
wishing my PEEPS were here to celebrate,
I do hope you and your family are together on
this very special EASTER weekend.
A new bunny meets the world on Easter!
NOW PASS THE EGGS WOULD YOU?

I am soooo grateful for the atonement of the Savior. Because when you loose a loved one as we have
we truly appreciate the meaning of that.
I think.

I always had a new dress, patent leather shoes, a purse, gloves, and hat...and my friends and I would sit all through Mass and "preen" in our finery and compare each others...shame on us, but we did....LOL
The cholocate bunny would be the last piece of my "loot" to go, once
I bit his head off, the rest soon followed!!
I think my grand-girls don't know
what fun it was to be a little girl "back in the olden days"!!!!!
Hope you have a lovely Easter with

BISES! Anita
Happy Easter dear Claudie!
Of course your post is the sweetest and prettiest Easter post around!

Lovely post and pictures, Claudie! And another Canadian tradition, those fabulous Laura Secord cream eggs! Sooo good! You cut them and savour them one thin slice at a time to make the pleasure last.
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter!
Happy Easter Claudie Sweetie...
What a beautiful share this morning. I was just sitting thinking of the Easter we had as kids as well. They were the best, it was a lovely time then wasn't it? For some reason I too, always called my Easter bunnies he. I bit off his ear, his leg, and then swallowed him. LOL...That is so funny how we think sometimes.
Loved your photos of your critters. They are such a big part of our lives are they not? Our kids when we grow older.
Thanks for sharing the lovely memory of your sweet Daddy letting you snitch one of your Momma's precious Laura Secord chocolates. That is such a wonderful smile.
Have a glorious weekend dear one. You are never far from my thoughts. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry
Happy Easter, Claudie! I used to get the whole new outfit and even after I was married with 2 children, one year my hubby bought me an outfit. It was awful, but I wore it so as not to hurt his feelings. But never again:):) He was so thoughtful though. I hope you have a beautiful day. XO, Pinky
Happy, happy Easter sweet girl.... oh yes, I do remember being so excited about the new dress ( my sweet Mum usually made it) and shoes.... and the "bunny" always hid the basket for me to find.
Loved hearing the confessions of the darling Canadian girl.
xoxo

PS.... I've missed you.
Hello Claudie dear, Your post is the happiest Easter post I've seen. Your little lamb collection is darling just like you. Your bunny table is so you. Love it all especially your mom's candy. HA! Bella and the fat cat make me smile. Your sweet pets are your babies. My CC is my baby too.
Happy Easter to you and your peeps. Randy too.
We have had a wonderful Easter. I took lots of photos to share of the best dinner. It has been a wonderful visit. However, I am ready to get back home tomorrow.
I love you to pieces.

Hi Claudie,
What a wonderful Easter blog! I love your little ceramic lambs and your Easter memories that you shared. Isn't is great to have our memories of childhood to reflect upon? Thank you to our dear parents for making these wonderful memories that we will never forget. Thank you for checking on me at my blog, Bluebirds and Butterflies. Sorry to hear about your dear one who passed on the same day as my Aunt Ruth. Yes, indeed, I am sure they will meet in heaven. My Aunt Ruth was the very last of my mom's siblings. I felt happy in my heart, even though I will miss my Aunt, that she was in heaven on Easter with my Mom and all of the siblings and my grandparents. That brought peace to my heart. I have been busy getting things back in line from being gone for two weeks at my home in Poulsbo, WA. I did take time to update my blog and also to spend a wonderful Easter with my hubbie, my Maltese, Sadie, and my college son, Elliott, who came for the weekend. I will be returning to Florida for a week or so on April 16th. My husband is going on business and I am tagging along to walk the beach and relax in Cocoa Beach and spend more time with my sister and my husband's daughter, Ashley, who live near by. I'll be relaxing and taking lots of photos to share with you and all my blog friends. Your blog is like a breath of beautiful spring air! Love your music, too. Happy Easter, Claudie....my dear friend. xoxo Kim
Hey pumpkin
Finally am getting my act together to stop by and say hi!

I will get you all the Important stuff soon. Hope you are enjoying your week.

Claudia
Hello sweet friend! Your childhood Easters sounded wonderful! I always got a new outfit, and new patent leather shoes. Love to smell them when they were new! lol I loved the chocolate bunnies, and when I got a little older, loved the coconut cream eggs. It was big, and would last quite awhile. We have a little chipmonk outside, and we call him chippy too! Love you and Randy in the window. So many things I wanted to do for Easter but I came down with some type of bug. Still not feeling great. xxoo
What a sweet precious post My Sweet French Poodle of a Friend Claudette! :) Happy Belated Easter...I'm a bit late making the rounds. I "ATE" way too much on Easter Sunday. Mainly...a HUGE organic Yam that I baked...and it was better than chocolate let me tell ya! lol
We had a lovely weekend...beautiful weather and even more beautiful the time we spent with my sister and Kim/Chip/Catie & Tyler. The Pastor asked my Johnny to preach the Sunday morning Sunrise Service outside at 7am..YUP, and he was EXCITED, to say the least! HE did a great job...a love offering for him...HE loves the Word of God. We then all went into the church social hall and had an old fashioned Southern Family style breakfast together. It was just nearly PERFECT, but you weren't here. :( So, that's the only thing that was missing friend.
I adore your little lambs and bunnies you shared in this post. Especially the French Lambs...ADOREABLE,of course!
Praying that you, THE PINK PEEP, and Randy, THE BLUE PEEP, are all nestled in your lovely Pink Cottage today whispering I LOVE YOU's among all those furry ones. :) xoxo
LYTTMAB!
