What's been going on?

Let's say I haven't been twirling in my PINK tutu.
But a whole lot of this is going on at the cottage,

 and this,
and this,
 and more of this.
Well, hello P.J., did you have a good nap?
It's been cold again here in Ontario. Only in the 30's.
What's up with that? From 80 to 25 in a matter of days.
 And what is THIS?
Why it's fat cat hiding under the blankets.
Sneaky kitty.
Still celebrating my birthday. I do that. My birthday lasts all month.
My sister and cousins and I were in Montréal on the weekend.

We were at the Woman's Show.
Also broke out in dance at this
cool FRENCH bar in Old Montréal.
LES 2 PIERROTS.
 OMG
No wonder I woke up with a broken back on Sunday morning. Ah, but it was worth it.
Thank you for all my wonderful cards and gifts.
Every card, every trinket means the world to me.
Who would have known that blogging would bring such happiness to this girl?
PRICELESS card, hand made by the one and only Juliet.
I must say this birthday was a good one. Even though most you are many
miles away, I felt like you were all here. I have you all over my house and right
here at the touch of a key, or just a phone call away. I like that.
I came across Jo's blog today "A pretty life in the Suburbs". She made this
incredible Peanut Butter bread, and said it's a MUST, 'so I thought I'd give it a try.
As you can see mine doesn't look AT ALL like hers. It calls for a cup of Peanut Butter.
I've ALWAYS got P.B. on hand. I haven't run out of P.B. in 25 yrs.
Guess what? I only had 1/2 cup. WTW? So...
I used 1/2 cup of Nutella. It was NOTHING to write home about.
Needed to wash it down with a
glass of milk if you know what I mean ; (
Hey, at least I got out of bed and did it, lol.
Started a little lamb collection for Easter.
Since the Cadbury Cream Eggs are out, I thought I'd better start.
I hear you saying awwww she's sweet.
I think they are all sweet.
But you know I have a favourite don't you?
Kind of like our kids. We're not suppose to have
a favourite... but we do.
Some of you might remember what I made last year for my sister's Easter get together.
Not the same this year since mom is gone. We sure had fun.
Chocolate covered marshmallows. Easy peasy.
All the goodies disappeared in a flash.
And so did my MOM.
But, it's getting better and better every day.

Here's looking at ya.
Have a wonderful weekend girls.
Tomorrow I meet with my French gf Isabelle for some more
birthday fun. Wish you could all come with me.

Awww, Claudie ... you look marvelous! Glad you are having such a beautiful month of celebrations. Good thing I'm not there ... yowzers! you'd be in trouble.

So love Montreal ... wonderful city.

Your 'pet-lings' know how to enjoy a cool spring day ... love those peeking paws.

Honey, Mother is with you for Easter in each of your hearts to help you celebrate, enjoy your memories & create new ones. Mother is luckier than us, as she sits with Jesus to enjoy His glorious rise. Can you imagine the beauty of the sun rising & His standing there with His arms spread open blessing all of His angels, what a privilege.

Have a beautiful weekend, Claudie. Know you are very loved.

Hello Claudie! First of all, I love your new header!! Very pretty!
What fun to still be celebrating your birthday! Loved the cards and goodies from your girl friends around the world! And all of the lunches, get-togethers and such with them, too. And Randy's great gift of a Spa Day, followed by dinner out!! You are much loved!!
Your doggies remind me of my two..
they sleep a lot, too, and have their own little beds...but prefer to get on mine! LOL
Your lamb collection is darling!!
I like them all...and the photos of Easter last year...delicious looking, especially the marshmellow
sticks! Yummy!!!
I know what you mean about nothing is the same without your sweet mother. I always feel a bit depressed on holidays because she was always with me and there is such a void without her...time may help the pain, but the void is always there.
How are you today? I hope you are feeling good. I am having one of my BAD days..it's going to rain..
that NEVER helps, does it?
Anyway, I hope you have a great time with your friend today and that the weekend is wonderful for you and Randy.....
Big hugs, Francy

Claudie,
You've made me want to decorate for spring. I'm a little late in that area. So many cute spring colors. You know my son's favorite is Cadbury Easter Eggs? I have to get him some every year. The peanut butter bread looks so good, and I wish I had a piece to go with my coffee right now. I'm a peanut butter lover too!! Always have it around the house.
The picture of you was great, and it reminded me of me at the store yesterday buying myself some flowers hehe. A happy spring weekend to you, dear friend.

I love it when you do a new post, because it is always pretty, and fun, and makes me smile. All the pretty colors and your spring-ish feel on this feels goooood.
I remember all those neat easter things you put together last year. It was incredible I thought.
So you are collecting lambs are you. Such cute things. I'll have to keep my eyes open for some, and if I find a cute one, I'll get it for you.
The picture of all your dogs napping makes me think of Barry....as he is napping right now as I am typing this. I could post 100's of photos of him and the dog napping.
I can't nap in the afternoon. I'd never sleep at night.
It was nice to see that photo of your mom and daughter. That has to make you happy!! It is important to take lots of photos as you never know if you'll get another chance.
I know you had a fun time in Montreal. I love the photo of you in the flower shop. I LOVE fresh flowers. I wish they lasted longer.
Love ya pretty lady.

Darn Claudie, It will be two weeks soon and you haven't rec'd my gift? I'm bummed. I pray it doesn't get lost. I made your card and it turned out so cuuuuuete. Sigh. Making cards is not my usual thing to do. Marilyn had some stuff but I am gathering a stash for crafting. Mostly because of the journals we are doing. I'm enjoying it so much.

I love the pups and the cats paws. How cute is that? You get the best photos. I love the one of you in that great coat. I don't see an extra pound on you girl. HA!

Your cards are so pretty and Julie's note is a hoot. She is so full of...fun. HA!

I hope you have a wonderful time with your friend. I'm so glad you are still celebrating your birthday. That way when you finally get my gift you will still be in the B-Day mood.

Brittany and your mom are so sweet in the photo. I will always miss my mom too Claudie. Time makes it better but it doesn't go away. Our memories keep them alive in our hearts. That is a good thing.

Love, love, love you,
Jeanne xoxoxo

Ma belle,

Your words of sincere love and friendship are so much received into my BOSOM..whatever I HAVE IN THERE!! teeheeee......

Well, this is it. It is now time to draw, make more cards, more ideas, and get things into my Etsy shop. Then, time to redesign myself and take months to connect with the artist world so I can make a living from this choice I have made. It is just a matter of time until ANYONE OF US finds our niche, perfects it and shares it.

NOW GET OUT THERE ARE SPREAD SOME PINK LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

MILLE BISES! Anita

You are so cute Claudie in your red boots and chic plaid jacket!
What a lovely post that nearly had me in tears!
I can feel your pain with the passing of your Mom. And I look ahead to not having mine, and I don't like it at all.
I will be the big 56 in August...my Mom is 76. She may be around for quite awhile yet but who knows.
You also have me so curious about visiting Montreal! I've always heard its a wonderful city!
Maybe hubby would agree! hehe.
Years ago I was in Halifax and Nova Scotia. I loved it and I think I would also love Montreal!
Well ok, I have rambled enough. Here's to some warmer days for both of us filled with sunshine and love!
Big Hugs,
Cindy

Hi Claudie, I'm getting ready to bowl in a few minutes. Last day for the season. I wonder if I can bowl a 200??? HA! I can dream.

Garden club was great and everyone clapped for the decorations. Big smile here. I will share them on PS.

All is well and I finally got rested up yesterday afternoon.
I knew you would like the photos. I did too. My cousin Pat sent them to me from the net.

I loved seeing your post again. You are the best for posting fun and the best family photos. (including the dogs)

Off to the alley.

Coming here just BRIGHTS me every time.

PS---I looked all over GOOGLE for a picture of one of those poodle coats to use in a post on my blog, and don't know what words to put in. All I get is fabric that's kinda close, but absolutely regular---not in the exact high-low loopy pile of your wonderful coat.

If I can't find one, could I beg the borrow of a picture of yours?

Happy Belated Birthday, Claudie! Hope your birthday was wonderful! I can so relate to your feelings about your dear Mom. It will be 4 years since my Mom passed on June lst, and I still miss her every single day. I cannot believe it will be 4 years soon. I keep her close in my heart as I know you do your own mom. Your little dogs are all so adorable. I know they bring you much joy. Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope you have a fabulous anniversary on May 1st no matter where you go. Miami would be nice...it is nice weather there right now. Not too hot yet. Just being together with your dear hubby will be very special. We are so blessed to have our soulmates with us in our lives. I know he feels the same way about you. Congrats on your upcoming anniversary! xoxo Kim
