Treasures

Did you think I was somewhere sunny?
No, I'm here. Right here.

An elderly woman decided to prepare
her will and told her priest she had
2 final requests.
First, she wanted to be cremated.
Second, she wanted her ashes scattered
over the store "HOME-SENSE".
The priest exclaimed. "Why HOME-SENSE
She said "that way I'll be sure that my
daughters will visit me twice a week"
HA HA HA

 If you're wondering what "HOME-SENSE
is, it's the same as your
 HOME-GOODS
I bought mom this book a while ago.
 and just found it today.
 The book is called "BIDDIES"
"THE RIGHT HAIR"
My mom had her hair done every week.
Every "BIDDY" should have
her hair done once a week.
"PASTIMES"
Check out the "BIDDY" with the tattoo
on her thigh.
I wonder who that would be?
My mom LOVED to dance.
But she never liked tattoos.
"BINGO QUEEN
 Mom LOVED her BINGO.
I went once and only once. I couldn't keep up.
She had 10 cards in front of her...
and no talking... shhhh!
 KEEPING THEM IN LINE...
WOW! she sure did that well.
Mom was very strict, very diciplined.
She would NEVER stay in her P.J.'s like
I do, or leave her bed undone, or snack
in the middle of the day!!!
I must take after my father, lol.
My mom had 4 BIG closets in her apt.
Full to the brim, jam packed, overflowing.
She LOVED to shop.
Some lucky ladies are wearing her nice
clothes right now. I didn't fit into her
pretty clothes, she was a size 0, yes a 0.
Looking at these BIDDIES
they only wear wings.
"THE BIDDY & THE MEANING OF LIFE"
Here's hoping that my "BIDDY" mom
is enjoying a cocktail with her
"BIDDIES" in heaven.
Cheers MOM.

What a CUTE book. I am glad you have it.
Hey, I'd be the Biddie with the tatoo.
Wouldn't it be great if, oh gosh, years from now us summer breeze gals all got together, and see what kind of Biddies we became.
(my tatoos are starting to sag..tee,hee)

Your mom was soooo teeny. A size zero. Wow.

This was lovely Claudie.
You are my Best BIDDIE Good Friend.

Mothers and daughters can be so different from one another, and alike in so many ways! May your memories of her begin to make your heart feel lighter and brighter as time goes by....

With love,

I love it Claudie! Mothers and Daughters think they are so different but I find myself having "mother" moments more and more!! At first I would cringe but now I just shrug it off and say to myself, is that really so bad? Nah! Adorable post, thank you. xoxox-cindy

Well...maybe that is when to get a tatoo...after the skin has gone south, then the tatoo would stay where you put it! LOL I love this book, I just love books with really cute illustrations. You make your mom really come to life and I see who she was. Real cute post my friend. :D

Oh dearest, that is so beautiful. A SIZE ZERO??????? I believe it. I have seen some woman, and interestingly enough, of FRENCH descent, who were so TINY!!! And I have worn the "A" scarf three times already and get so many compliments on it. It is warm and lovely and I love it and I love you for sharing that part of YOUR life with me. I just wonder what our parents are doing UP THERE at this moment; I think of my mom all the time.

Sending you a warm hug my BEAUTIFUL FRIEND!!! Anita

Hello Claudie *hugs*
*s*... your post made me smile...its so sweet. I love the biddie book and the pictures and the cute will wish. Made me giggle...I am happy you are able to sit and laugh about things like that keeping your mom with you...I know how special she was and IS to you. You are a very fortunate lady to have had that relationship.
Have a beautiful day...a sweet biddie day.

What a cute book!! I loved all of the illustrations, and all the wit...
my mother and I were really close, too. She lived to be almost 92, and still had a sense of humor and kept me on my toes!!
Maybe she is playing BINGO or having
a cocktail with yours!
Eleven years have passed since she left us, but I still miss her every day and all the things we did together
In time, the pain will ease and the happy and funny memories will remain and she will always be "with you" if you believe in angels!!
Love ALL of your posts! This one was
especially a lovely one...
Stay warm...Hugs, Francy

I'm so glad to see you back, Sweetpea! I hoped you WERE somewhere sunny---especially since our own temps have been so grouchy, and you're WAY farther North.

What a dear little book, and I know she enjoyed it.

Hope your SPRING arrives soon!

Hello sweetie! So happy to have you visit. I love this book, soo funny. Bless your sweet little mom, a size 0. I was complaining in a size 7. I should have been happy with that. No, I wanted to be a 3 like my sister-in-law. I wish I was a 7 again. *sigh*

I would love to go shopping today with you. I told hubby I won't be home for dinner. LOL!

Hi Claudie Sweetie...
What a gorgeous post. I love it. That sweet Momma had a sense of humor.

This book is precious. Aren't the photos and writes just precious?

Your birthday is coming dear one, and you package will be arriving in time. I have it all ready to go, however it has to go to the main post office, my little neighborhood one, does not mail international. I hope you will love it as much I have putting it together. It is filled with SUCH love.

Have a beautiful weekend sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Claudie,
Your posts always make my heart sing. I love Bingo - I can totally relate to your mom, but how she could keep up with so many cards haha. These ladies on here are so funny, and we need funny in our lives at times, especially now in my life when I am getting ready to move (still in California, but a move is a move, ya know?) Thanks for brightening my day a bit, and I know your mom is smiling now knowing that her daughter makes so many people happy with her beautiful spirit. Have a fun weekend.

Hi Claudie, I decided to come over and see if you posted anything. YOU DID...on Tuesday and here it is Saturday night. I'm sorry I was so dang busy this week. why didn't you tell me? Sigh.

I wanted to comment on your previous post but couldn't. It is the most beautiful post. I truly understand why you didn't want comments.

Now this post is adorable and very funny. I wish I lived near a Home Goods store. On second thought, it is better I don't. I don't have enough storage as it is. HA!

Your descriptions of your mom and her little quirks about fashion and neatness sound so much like my mom. She didn't have closets full of clothes but when she did buy clothes they were the most lovely clothes you can buy. She always wore a necklace and pearls were her choice most of the time. Only Caralie being a hairdresser, did my mom's hair every week for years. Even after Caralie became a stewardess with Eastern Airlines. She loved that job.

I bet she loved the Biddy book. She was very beautiful and lived a long time. I would have loved meeting her.

I love you to pieces my darling friend. I started an email to you and got distracted. I still have it in draft. I'm going to finish it right now.
