The Tickle Pink Thrift Thursday

Speaking of couples, as in the Royal couple, Randy and I as a couple, I found this couple on a shelf just waiting for their day.
I couldn't believe it when I turned them over and the sticker said $5.99/each.

Not only did I find one charming couple, I found their friends sitting beside them a few feet away.
I have no idea where they are from, but I have my own little story.
I think they were sisters or best friends. They have the same little dresses, the same purses, and their beau's have fancy pants with pink flowers on them.
Maybe they were twins marrying twins, yes maybe that's it. If you look closely, you'll see only a slight difference.
I found these little shades for $1.00
and some very pretty trim for a mere $2.00
Here they are sitting in Paris... (actually on my washer/dryer), but I thought Paris was nicer, more romantic.

They are approximately 7 inches tall, actually more like little midgets, but cute midgets.
I love the way they turned out. I just have to polish the brass where many hands have
"turned them on".
I thought I would spray paint the brass a nice soft pink, what do you think? I'm not much for the "brass" look.
I'm enjoying them in our little pink cottage even if their not quite polished yet.
Know what this is? I call it a chic serving tray.
It's a light fixture you see in many different colours all over the place. This one was $1.00 brand new.
It already had a hole in the middle, because your suppose to use it on older ceilings as a light fixture. I actually had one in my bedroom growing up.
I bet you $1.00 you had one too.
I had one of those silver handle things, screwed it in and VOILA.
My pink tray minus the bunny at this point.
Clever oui?
I can see serving my girls some cupcakes in this pretty little thing this summer.
And I found this sweet T-shirt for $3.00.
It's pink so I had to have it.
Love the little rosettes don't you?
That's it for today.
Happy Thrifting.

Hello Claudie, Your thrift post made me smile. The lamps were sold as a pair so they would be quite similar. They look so sweet when all trimmed out. I kept looking at the dish with the handle and thinking it looks like the light we had in our bedroom growing up. You take the cake with your original ideas. I would never have thought to use it as a dish but it is the perfect cute cupcake etc. holder.

What did you think of Jacob being voted out on Idol tonight? I hate any of them to go. I like them all so much.

I am checking my email to see if CC has seats yet. I hope we get together.

In three weeks We leave for Maine. I am already packing the RV. We are pretty excited about it.

You are going to be a great Aunt? Is one of your sister's children having a baby? How exciting.

I am not sure what is wrong with Sheila. Just that she hasn't been feeling well and needs to rest. She has had a lot to deal with this past year.

It is bedtime as usual. I hope you are sleeping better Claudie.

Good night my sweet friend.
Love you to pieces,
Jeanne xoxoxo
