Look through the window...

THIS IS THE RIVER TODAY.

LOOKS LIKE THE PERFECT SKATING RINK DOESN'T IT?
IT'S REALLY MELTING AND WILL CRUMBLE and flow ANY DAY. IT'S AN AMAZING SITE WHEN IT HAPPENS.

NOW LOOK INSIDE THE WINDOW.
INTO OUR LITTLE COTTAGE.
SOME THINGS HAVE CHANGED.

THIS LITTLE GIRL SASHA, HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH FULL BLOWN DIABETES.
SHE'S ONE OF OUR ADOPTED SENIOR BABIES.

I BOUGHT HER A NEW PILLOW, BUT HER BROTHER LUCKY SEEMS TO BE HOGGING IT.
SASHA LOOKS SAD IN THIS PICTURE  : (

WE, OR SHOULD I SAY RANDY AND COLT, HAVE BEEN TESTING HER BLOOD AND GIVING HER INSULIN MANY TIMES A DAY. I'VE ALWAYS SAID I WOULDN'T MAKE A GOOD NURSE, AND NEEDLES MAKE ME QUEASY.
I HATE, DISLIKE THEM A LOT.

BUT I ADORE THIS LITTLE GIRL. MOST WOULD SAY
"THIS IS TOO EXPENSIVE, SHE'S OLD, MAYBE YOU SHOULD THINK OF PUTTING HER DOWN"...
WE THOUGHT ABOUT IT IN THE FIRST FEW DAYS,  BUT KNEW THAT SHE WASN'T GOING ANYWHERE BUT HERE, WHERE SHE BELONGS, SO LIFE GOES ON, WITH THIS CUTIE PIE.

SO LET'S SEE WHAT ELSE IS NEW...

MY SISTER HAD A BIRTHDAY

WE HAD A FEW TOO MANY OF THESE...

My sister's dog NeeNee was quite bored with it all.

AND I HAD MY 91 YR. OLD MOM HAVE A tiny DRINK AND A tiny DANCE. SHE LOVES TO DANCE,
BUT LATELY, WELL, SHE'S NOT DOING THAT GREAT.

RANDY IS DOING MUCH BETTER THAN LAST YEAR AT THIS TIME, THANK GOD.
STILL DEALING WITH HIS PAIN, BUT MUCH BETTER.
HIS COOKING SKILLS ARE IMPROVING EVERY SINGLE TIME HE MAKES US SOMETHING.
AMAZING ACTUALLY.
HAZELNUT SCALLOPS

TUSCANY GARLIC CHICKEN
WITH FETTUCCINE

WE WENT TO MY BROTHER IN LAW'S LEGENDS HOCKEY GAME. HE IS A 4 X NHL HOCKEY HALL OF FAME STANLEY CUP WINNER

HE'S THE GOALIE. PLAYED FOR THE NEW YORK ISLANDERS.
SOME CALL THEM OLD-TIMERS, I CALL THEM LEGENDS.
THEY RAISED ANOTHER $10,000.00 FOR SPECIAL OLYMPICS. LOOK FOR THEM IN A CITY NEAR YOU.
THAT'S RON DUGUAY
RON WAS ON BATTLE OF THE BLADES.
FORMER NEW YORK RANGERS.

That's me trying to watch the game.

WHAT ELSE... OH!
I'VE BEEN DECORATING FOR EASTER, EVEN THOUGH IT'S LATE THIS YEAR.
I NEEDED SOME CUTE LITTLE EGGS AND BUNNY'S AROUND THE HOUSE.

AND A LITTLE MORE...

AND MORE...

THIS IS JUST A TEASE REALLY,
THERE'S LOTS MORE TO COME.

I've been thrifting too.

THESE ARE THE PRETTIEST MAUVE, LAVENDER,  CLIP EARRINGS I'VE EVER SEEN.
SWEET SALT AND PEPPER SHAKERS.
SCORE! ON 8 CORRELL DINNER PLATES.

I'VE BEEN THRIFTING A LITTLE TOO MUCH. IS THERE SUCH A THING?
DIDN'T THINK SO.

ONE LAST NOTE.
HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING
THE BACHELOR? I'm a huge fan. ARE YOU ☺ WITH BRAD'S CHOICE?
I'M ☹ , BUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY.

I THINK I'LL GO HAVE ANOTHER ONE OF THESE... CARE TO JOIN ME? MY FRIDGE IS ALWAYS FULL OF MY FAVE. COFFEE DRINK.

I LEAVE YOU WITH THIS SWEET THING.
PLEASE KEEP SASHA CLOSE TO YOUR . I'M WISHING FOR A STABLE LIFE FOR HER...
AND MY MOM.

I haven't put out my easter decor yeet. I will in April

Good Morning...
*sigh* Have you ever made a decision and wondered if you made the correct one? :(

Thats what I am thinking since signing up for the NC event.

When I look into that gorgeous little one -- my heart sinks about the Diabetes (pup or sister its a horrible disease)

But I look longingly at your frozen river and the animals and your cottage and say ... ok, maybe not this year but SOON ... what a photographic spot!

Im so happy that Randy is doing better this year, from the sounds of it, he took care of himself to be here... well done!

Have a lovely week!

Lovin you from SLC
Claudia

To answer the question in the song playing, YES ~ SHE'S LOVELY! :) I am glad you are caring for little Sasha...and all the ice on the lake is so lovely. But more importantly I like what's INSIDE your lovely cottage. Especially your family! All the pics are precious, just like YOU! Loved our chat last night, thanks for the call honeee... Took my bandage off today, it's not too bad to look at. Kisses & Hugs to Sasha, your Momma, so glad Randy is feeling better this year too...ah heck, kiss him too for me. :) Love you sugar! Now Toni Braxton is playing my OTHER favorite song, Breathe Again... Don't stop! :) Hugs honeee to the MOON & BACK!

Ohhhh poor little Sasha. As a diabetic who takes four shots a day, I can't even imagine what Sasha must be thinking of all the poking and pricking. You and Randy are just so special to take such good care of her. I want to give her hugs and squeezes!!
Your mom looks like she is just as spunky as you. My mom is 11 years younger and barely goes out. She used to love to dance. Now she won't even walk around the block.
Sending lots of hugs your way. Tell Randy he needs to share his recipes too!! That shrimp looks divine!!

Hi.

We have been texting and blogging for 2 hours.
Your Easter goodies... is that what you and Colt brought up from the basement? You look like you have a whole new collection of things.

And when you throw those dishes at the wall - do they break like real dishes?

Just wondering.

Love ya.

Well, this post covers a lot!
Your cottage is so cheerful.
If Sasha is going to be sick, then she's in the right place - where else would she be so loved and cared for? You made the right decision!

Oh, Randy...no scallops for me, please! The chick/fettucine looks like something I would love, though!
So glad you're feeling better - I think it's your new hobby and Claudie's loving attention.

Claudie, your mom is so cute - beautiful smile...may she enjoy many more happy, healthy years!

Claudie, how in the world did I miss this awesome and sad and happy post? I guess it was the day my cousin left and the terrible cold. I sort of collapsed that day. Poor Sasha, she is a darling little thing. I too would have a hard time making the decision to put her down. I am so sorry Claudie.

Happy Birthday to your sister. I love the photos of the party. Especially you and your mom dancing. I remember your sister's party I think??? smile.

I am impressed with your BIL. Wow, he rocks and rocked!!!

I am thinking about decorating for Easter too. I love what you have shared. AND, never stop thrifting. That would take some fun out of your life!!!

I don't watch the Bachelor but I am sure I would love your stash of coffee in a jar. Mmmmmm.

I love you to pieces,
Jeanne
